Ex-Deutsche Private Banking Figure Becomes Nomura IWM's Chief Operating Officer

A former chief operating officer at the private bank of ’s international wealth arm in the COO and managing director position. 

Nemali will work with the international wealth management team of Nomura and its corporate team to drive growth, the Japanese firm said in a memo seen by this news service. 

In his new role, Nemali is based in Singapore, reporting to Aleem Jivraj, chief operating officer, global markets, and Ravi Raju, head of international wealth management.                                                                  

At Deutsche Bank’s private banking arm, Nemali served in the COO role for Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa, and Latin America. He also held senior positions as group head for global South Asia with market coverage across the Middle East, Asia and Australia, and as investment advisory head for Southeast Asia and Global South Asia at the German lender. Prior to this, Nemali spent more than15 years at Citi Private Bank in a number of roles across investments, coverage and risk management.

In August 2024, this news service reported that former senior HSBC figure Philip Kunz joined Nomura International Wealth Management as managing director – senior advisor and group head, Southeast Asia, based in Singapore.

In July 2023, Nomura expanded its international wealth arm by taking up residence in the Dubai International Financial Centre.
